Off the beaten path and not what you'd expect describes this buried treasure. At river's end in Churchill, 2J's serves up a family style, friendly, down home meal at a great price. The lack of elegance is far surpassed by the view of the river and pasture across the way. We sit and watch the windmills spin lazily, the river flow slowly to its finish, and hear the clack of the cue ball breaking a new pool game. The food is what you'd expect from a marina dining room: giant shrimp po'boys, thick fries, chicken fried steak, burgers, and a great salad bar with some new twists on what you can do with peas, carrots, and apples... Top it off with a fresh piece of homemade pie. After we eat, we walk downstairs and to the ramp leading to the water. We can't resist the urge to linger in the warm sun a few more moments to let our food digest...Sound tempting? Get out and try it. You won't be sorry.
